On Sat., October 11, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the Florence Events Center will host the Beat the Wave Emergency Preparedness Expo.

The City of Florence is participating in Lane Council of Governments and We Walk Lane's Walktober 2025 with the Art & The Estuary Walktober on Saturday, October 11, from 11 am to 2 pm outside the Florence Events Center.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking public comment on the updated Draft Implementation Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)-Endangered Species Act (ESA) Integration in Oregon. The Public Comment Period is open through October 8, 2025. The community is welcome to leave comments through the online portal or by email.
