Florence May 2020 Scavenger Hunt: Physical Distancing Edition
We know that life during the Stay Home, Save Lives executive order can seem a little underwhelming at times. The City of Florence hopes to add a little fun during the month of May, while still abiding by the physical distancing guidelines.
We have developed the Florence May 2020 Scavenger Hunt: Physical Distancing Edition!
The City of Florence is utilizing GooseChase to encourage exploration of the Florence Community right from your home!
The game will go live on Friday, May 1st at noon and close at midnight on Monday, June 1st.

How it Works: Complete the missions to earn points! The top three to five players with the most points will receive a prize!
Our community scavenger hunt will have three types of missions.
- Knowledge Missions: Participants will have the opportunity to answer questions about Florence and our history. Correct answers to our Florence trivia questions are worth 100 points each!
- Photo Missions: Photo missions will direct participants to take photos as you complete the missions. Make sure to include the mission activity and don't forget we want to see you too. Photo missions are worth 500-1,000 points!
- Video Missions: The video missions challenge participants to complete fun videos as you complete the missions. Some missions will require videos, while you can choose to do a video for others. Video missions are worth 500-1,000 points!
- Bonus Missions: Some missions are eligible for extra points. Look for BONUS POINTS info in the mission! Completing the bonus activity will earn you 500 extra points!
How to Join: Participants can join the game by following these simple steps:
- Download the GooseChase iOS or Android app.
- Register for a personal account with a username & password of their choice.
- Search for and select the "Florence May 2020 Scavenger Hunt" game.
- Follow the prompts to select or create their player profile.
