NEW! Rhody Express will be running every 30 minutes starting june 17th.

Starting Monday, June 17th, the Rhody Express will be running every 30 minutes! Please join LTD and the City of Florence in celebrating this expanded service at 10:15 on June 17th at the bus shelter at the Grocery Outlet (2066 Hwy 101, Florence). We’ll see the new bus off at 10:30.  LTD will be distributing free grocery bags to mark the 30 minute service.

Within the Florence Area

Florence Public Transit - Rhody Express - 541-902-2067 - Operated by River Cities Taxi
Bus runs on a 60 minute route Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The bus is outfitted with a wheechair lift and bike racks.

Fare: $1.00 per one-way trip or $2.00 per day. Exact cash fare required.

In and Out of Florence Area

River Cities Taxi - 541-997-8520

Operates 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 a.m. daily and Friday and Saturday 24 hours. Wheelchair vans and regular taxi. Arrangements can be made for travel out of the area.

Florence-Yachats Connector – 541-997-8520

The bus runs Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:25 p.m., except holidays. Tickets are only $2.50 one-way/$5.00 for all-day service.  The bus will make four round-trips each day, departing from the Florence Grocery Outlet stop, making one stop at Carl G. Washburne State Park, then arriving in Yachats at the Log Church (3rd & Pontiac). Florence-Eugene Connector -

The Florence to Eugene Connector bus runs seven days per week, with two routes per day. It will not run on the following days: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Tickets are $5/ one-way; fares between Florence and Mapleton are $1. Tickets can be purchased through the bus driver. Medicaid Medical Rides & RideSource

RideSource is a curb-to-curb service for people who are unable to use the regular, fixed-route bus service because of a disabling condition. An application process to determine eligibility is required. Request a 24 hour notice or by 9:00 am of the day of your appointment to get preauthorization. Although, it is wise to call or fax as soon as the appointment is made because same day preauthorization is not guaranteed.

Senior Connections Medical Escort Program

The Medical Escort program is a volunteer program for people age 60 or older.  Rides are provided by volunteers and the program is donation-based.  The program is able to provide transportation to medical appointments in the Florence, Eugene/Springfield and Coos Bay/North Bend areas.
