On February 1, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. the City Council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting via videoconference. Given COVID-19 restrictions, citizens will not be able to attend City meetings in person.

Providing Comments / Testimony:

On February 1, 2021, the City Council will be holding a public hearing concerning the Benedick LLC, Annexation & Zoning Assignment. Those wishing to express their views to the City Council may do so in the following ways:

  1. Written Testimony: Citizens are encouraged to submit written comments since it allows the public body an opportunity to review and consider the remarks in advance of the public meeting. Written testimony may be submitted by:
  • For comments related to the Benedick Annexation Public Hearing...
  • For general public comments...

  • Drop off at City of Florence drop box located at Florence City Hall (250 Hwy 101)
  • **NOTE: Written comments must be received at least 2 hours prior to the start of the meeting (February 1, 2021 at 3:30 p.m.) in order to be considered as testimony for the public hearing / meeting. 
  1. Verbal Comments / Testimony: Citizens may provide verbal comments / testimony at the meeting via the GotoWebinar platform. In order to participate verbally during the meeting, citizens are required to complete a speaker's card at least 1 hour prior to the start of the meeting (February 1, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.). Speaker's cards are available online at www.ci.florence.or.us/council/request-address-city-council-speakers-card or by contacting City Recorder Kelli Weese via email HERE, or via phone at 541-997-3437. Once a speaker's card is received, City staff will contact the speaker to let them know the process to participate in the meeting. In order to be contacted, parties must complete their contact information on the speaker's card. 
  • The GotoWebinar platform allows parties to participate in the meeting online via video conference, or offline via phone. If at all possible, and for a better user experience, citizens are encouraged to participate in the meeting online.
