  • Ordinance No. 6, Series 2020 - An Ordinance amending City of Florence City Code Title 9, Chapter 1 related to System Development Charges to create a process for waiving and deferring the collection of certain system development charges to encourage development of affordable housing.

Addressing the City Council

Given recent executive orders from Governor Brown concerning COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, the protocols for providing public input for City Council meetings have been updated. In person attendance is not allowed at City Council meetings. Interested citizens who would like to view and listen to the City Council meeting may do so via live broadcast on Charter Cable 191 or web broadcast HERE

City Council meetings shall not allow for verbal public comment on any item other than a mandatory public hearing. Citizens wishing to express their views to the City Council may do so by submitting written communications in one of the following ways:

  1. Written Testimony: It is STRONGLY encouraged that interested parties provide testimony in writing prior to the meeting in the following ways:
    • Submit written comments via email to the City Recorder HERE.
    • Mail written comments to Florence City Hall, Attn: City Council, 250 Hwy 101, Florence, OR 97439
    • Drop off written comments at the City of Florence drop box located at Florence City Hall (250 Hwy 101) to the right of the main entrance. 

All written testimony received at least 2 hours prior to the start of the Council meeting (May 18, 2020 at 3:30 p.m.) will be distributed to the City Council and made part fo the record.
