The Oregon Department of Transportation is protecting, restoring, and improving the safety of the Historic Siuslaw Bridge on Highway 101 in Florence. At the meeting, ODOT will explain the goals and outcomes of upcoming construction on the bridge and answer community questions.
- The project won’t result in complete closures of the bridge but will create nighttime single lane closures during a short duration of construction.
- The project won’t permanently eliminate parking or the interpretive center under the north end of the bridge. Access to that area will be closed for approximately 15 months of the 3-and-a-half-year project.
