2024 State of the City & City Services Expo

The City of Florence invites members of the community to attend the 2024 State of the City and City Services Expo on Monday, February 26, at the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince St., as we celebrate the last year and what’s ahead in 2024.
Guests are encouraged to visit the various City departments and staff during the City Services Expo from 5 to 7 p.m. and learn what they do to keep Florence a City in Motion.
At 6 p.m., Mayor Rob Ward will deliver the 2024 State of the City Address.
Rhody Express Availability
The City of Florence Transportation Committee has elected to utilize some of their Community Service Transportation hours to extend the Rhody Express service from 6 pm to 8 pm on February 26th for the State of the City and will be FREE during those hours. This will offer two additional loops of the bus service to provide an opportunity for community members to attend the State of the City who may not have cars or don’t drive at night. While the goal is to offer an opportunity for folks to attend the event, it will also offer free bus service to riders from 6 to 8 pm on that date and riders may use the service for any reason.
While the Florence Events Center is not an official stop on the route map, it is a flag stop on the route and the Rhody Express drops off and picks up at the southeast corner of the Florence Events Center.
