Property and Evidence
When officers seize evidence of crimes, located abandoned property, or simply conduct a safe keeping of property, such as a bicycle of a person arrested, these items are processed through the Evidence and Property Room.
When a case is adjudicated and items of evidence are no longer needed to be retained as evidence they may be released back to the owner, destroyed, or sold at auction as disposable or surplus property per the Florence City Code. It is the core mission of any property and evidence room for the return of citizen’s property as soon as possible.
Appointments are required to seek and/or obtain property from the Florence Police Department Property and Evidence Room. For further information call the Florence Police Department at (541) 997-3515 and speak with Sergeant Brandon Ott.
