CITY OF FLORENCE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION (RFQ)

AIRPORT ENGINEERING AND PLANNING CONSULTANT SERVICES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the City of Florence, Oregon extends an Invitation to qualified Civil Engineering Firms to submit their qualifications to perform civil and environmental engineering, professional land use planning and related professional services for projects involving planning, design, construction, reconstruction or rehabilitation of runway; taxiway; taxi-lanes; utilities; nav aids; signage; lighting and instrumentation; stormwater management and other natural resources; master planning; related land use and public involvement services at Florence Municipal Airport (6S2) located at 2001 Airport Way, Florence, Oregon 97439. RFQs will be accepted at the City of Florence, Attention Mike Miller, 250 Hwy 101, Florence, Oregon 97439. RFQs are to be received before April 24, 2025 at 4:00 PM, Pacific Daylight Time. RFQs received after 4:00 PM will not be considered. One original and four (4) copies of the RFQs are required. Facsimiles and electronic proposals will not be accepted.

The project will include the following:

  • Beacon and Lighted Windcone Rehabilitation – Design and Construction
  • Taxiway A Drainage – Design and Construction
  • Airport Master Plan Update

These projects are anticipated to be funded by the FAA and Florence Municipal Airport. Firms should be familiar with FAA and Oregon State Aviation procedures and requirements regarding airport project design and development.

RFQs may be mailed to the attention of Mike Miller prior to the RFQ due date and time at 250 Hwy 101, Florence, Oregon 97439. Company information/qualification, project team, project experience/references, supporting information including key personnel resumes must be included in the RFQ – these items will be evaluated/scored by the selection committee (minimum of four personnel).

The City of Florence may reject any RFQ not in compliance with all prescribed public procedures and requirements for this kind of work, and may reject for good cause any or all RFQs in accordance with ORS279B.100.
