Water Service Line Inventory
The City of Florence has recently completed and submitted our water service inventory to the Oregon Health Authority, Drinking Water Services. With over 4,185 service connections, this project has taken over a year to complete and required both review of service line records and physical inspection to confirm the type of materials used for the water service lines. We are pleased to inform you that we found no lead service lines within our water system.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) required all water utilities to perform a Lead Service Line Inventory and to provide the results by October 16, 2024 to the State. This requirement is in place to help lower the risk of exposure to lead in the nation’s drinking water.
